Vitamin D

Vitamin D is a vitamin and a hormone.

Vitamin D has over 400 jobs in the body including calcium absorption, keeping bones strong, stabilizing mood, reducing inflammation, supporting sleep, and preventing diseases. It also activates enzymes in the brain that are essential for nerve growth and neurotransmitter synthesis.

Vitamin D + Fertility

Vitamin D is critical for sex hormone production and is associated with improving fertility. If you’re planning for conception, you should be supplementing with vitamin D, as most people are deficient. It has been shown to promote healthy follicle formation, improve pregnancy rates, and prevent preterm labor. It also plays an important role in treating fibroids, endometriosis, and PCOS.
